Be honest and be specific. This decides more than your topic does.
Your objectives, research questions and hypotheses have to line up with each other and with your topic. This is what most proposals are sent back for.
One per line, numbered as you will number them (Ho1, Ho2 …). Write one only for objectives that compare, relate, predict or test an influence — descriptive objectives have none. We match each hypothesis to its objective by its variables.
Two things, both of which an examiner notices immediately. The canonical methods texts arrive mangled, because reference lists get copied from each other rather than from the sources. And citations go missing from the list — “about eight references were cited but not captured in the reference list” is a real comment from a real examiner’s report.
Put References on a line of its own between the two, so we can tell them apart. The list needs to be APA — Nworgu, B. G. (2015). Title. Pasting the list alone still checks the names. We do not check your formatting, and we say nothing about a book we could not read ourselves.
The three formulas Nigerian departments ask for, worked at once. They do not agree with each other, and that disagreement is worth seeing before your supervisor points at one of them.
The total number your study is about — every teacher in the LGA, every student in the department — not the number you plan to reach.
A survey formula sizes a sample from a population. If you are testing a difference or a relationship, examiners increasingly expect the sample to be justified by power instead.
A check is one moment. A study keeps the whole record — what you wrote, what the check said, and what you decided — so your supervisor can see how the work was reached, and so nothing has to be typed twice.
